!NOTES:Notes prepared by Brenda Hertzberg !Nancy Emeline Paton's birthplace and date are listed as 15 Sept. 1845 Marshall, Sercy, Ark in St. Geo. Temple records (source of information was probably Andrew Benton Clevenger). Census records of 1870 of Taney Co., Mo. list her as Nancy E. Clevinger, age 25 ( which is consistent with birthdate of 1845 listed in temple records), but the 1879 census records lists her as born in Tenn. !Her surname is listed in different records as PAYTON, PEYTON, OR PATON. "PAYTON" is consistent with St. George Temple records and how her name appears on the TIB cord. !Family records say that Nancy Emeline Paton was the sister of Orrena Payton (second wife of Brackston Clevenger - Andrew Benton Clevenger's father). "And I lately got the dates on father's half brother, if you want to send it in for me. If I haven't got it wrong his mother was a sister of father's first wife, Malinda's mother."
